Review of Xbox 360 Batman: Arkham Asylum

The good:

This game makes up for all the terrible super hero games in the past. It hits batman right on, this is the guy from the films, not some terrible bad acted attempt. The graphics are beautiful to look at and make this game come alive. Many, many games try to make the fighting so real, it takes the fun out of it. This is a hardcore beat the crap out of 20 guys without a scratch type of game. This may not intrest some, due to the fact that this isnt realistic. Well no its not he's batman he's meant to kick ass. However, the game is also very hard to get used to, you HAVE to use stealth or sorry mate, your a dead bat. But there is nothing more fun than hanging upside down on a ledge and grabbing a guy, knock him out and hang him up. Then run the other side of the room and when his friend comes to find out what happened chop the rope and hit the guy with a dead body. Class. But thats not all, explosive gel!? Hours of fun. Spray on floor, get the bad guy to follow you and blow the crap out of him. Simple. You must take your time or it may cost you. I myself have rushed in to beat up some bad guys. Only to find the had guns. And no, batman isnt bullet proof. I was dead within seconds. This is an amazing game that i was i had for longer. One well worth a go!

The bad:

When your done, your done? Yes after the game is over and your done on hard, this isnt anything to do. Sure theres "Challenge Rooms" but they dont keep you going for long. This would be much better to borrow from someone or to rent. One thing that annoyed me was that you seem to always be in detective mode, and you cant enjoy the true beauty of the game. Plus there isnt any online. And no i dont mean that i want a CoD 5 online, i would like to have seen some of my friend help me with the game and play Challenge rooms with me. All in all, great game!
